I just bought your lovely book ... it arrived a day after my camera broke ... aghhh!
I've just read the "Buying a camera" section, and there's some great tips, but there are so many cameras out there, i'm lost!
So I wondered if you could recommend some good enthusiast compact cameras currently on the market (I'm in the UK)? ... as you mention them in the book, but all of the photos featured in the book seem to be taken by DSLR's!

Bummer about your camera. Though, I hope you have fun with its replacement! The book features a wide range of digital cameras, including point-and-shoot and standard compacts, enthusiast models and DSLRs. Drop me a note and tell me your budget and the craft you specialise in (or what it is that you photograph the most) and I'll get some UK-specific suggestions for current enthusiasts' compact cameras over to you asap.
