Tara's Gallery task for this week is an easy one for me. I have forty-five portraits in my own gallery and hundreds more in my archive to choose from. Taking photos for a living is really, really lovely work. For this task, though, I've chosen a favourite portrait of my mum. This was taken in November 2006 when she visited all the way from Down Under. A group of six of us were on a weekend away in The Cotswolds at Bourton-on-the-Water. I'm not sure who she was talking to, all I remember is that I thought she looked so happy and pretty and how thrilled I was to have her here.

Lovely, your mum looks beautiful. Even though you take photos professionally, I bet you still get the same buzz as the rest of us when you get a great photo of a loved one!
Thanks so much, Kath. You're absolutely right. It's such a lovely feeling. Well done on the marathon!
That's gorgeous! I love the composition too.
Oh fantastic. That's really pretty.
Great picture, and love the black and white, too x
oh how lovely we both chose photos of our mum's for this weeks Gallery. You must miss your mum with her living so far away. Lovely pic
Great picture! My mom would kick my ass if I published a recent photo of her. She only likes old photos of herself or ones taken from far away. I'm starting to feel the same way.
Lovely, lovely photo. Makes me miss my mother :(
Beautiful :)

Great photo! I wanted to post one of my mum but I think she'd be a bit pee'd off if I did... internet-phobic she is! lol :)
Mum loves it! And she's very proud of how internet-savvy she is these days. Thank you for your comments :)
A great deal of warmth coming from this photo - your mum has beautiful features .
We visited Bourton on the Water a few weeks ago - gorgeous place.
