Ah, old happy memories. They're such wonderful things, aren't they? The kitchen pantry in my childhood home was (and still is) one of my most favourite places. It's a walk-in kind, with a window and a set of those cafe-style wooden shutter doors. Dad or I, or both of us, would look forward to giving it a good clearing out at least once a year. Dad would re-paint the shelves or re-paper the walls and I would line up the little pots of food colouring and re-stack the stainless steel bowls.
