banana ripening chart

My preference is for stage 4 but I will stretch to stage 5. Two friends of mine don't like them at all and another loves stage 7 (but I think that's strictly cake-time). How about you?

Hahaha...I love bananas..but I only do because I read that they make you happy...hahah...really!

I love the stage 6...the most and 7 is for sure reserved for cakes:)

Stage 6, Diana. I see. I would actually have stage 6 on toast, I must admit. Very busy here! Thanks for stopping by :)

For me it's stage 5. But I wait till stage 8 for my special banana bread. :]

Oh, yes, stage 8. I have met stage 8 a few times and been told to get rid of them but resisted and caked. Jeni, what is your recipe?

I never used to like banana's at all. But they have to be absolutely right for me to like. Stage 6 is almost too late for me to consume. But they are great awake me uppers! :)

I'd go with 6...or 7 for banana bread :) I don't really like bananas that much : /

I'd have to get back to you on that recipe...it's been a while since I made it. But it's DE-LISH! My grandma's recipe. :)

JandJ: oh, so pleased you've come around. Have you tried banana on toas with peanut butter? They're also nice on toast with jam, I think.

K: oh no! What about smoothies or cake?

J: Yes, please!

7 is perfect to make them on chips and mid stage to add to a great salad fruit... yum!

I am stage six. Which means there is very little time between perfect ripeness and rottenness!

I'd skip 1 & 2 and go as far as 7

Deffo stage 5. And I have a load of stage 7s to make some banana walnut bread tomorrow. Yummers!

PM: Chips, wow, I've never tried?
B: That is a risky stage. Better be quick...
K: It does!
TNMA: Now that is flexibility.
ED: Yum! Send some over?
