London-based photographer, Gerrard Gethings, takes portraits of dogs "with care and craft usually reserved for human portraits." It shows - they're beautiful. Have you heard of Spoonflower? I hadn't until a few months ago. For anyone else in my boat, here's what it's all about. They're a US-based marketplace for independent designers to create and sell their own fabric. It seems very straightforward: designs are uploaded to their system, the customer selects the design they want and the fabric on which they want it printed. You don't have to be a graphic designer or textile artist to be a seller, either; you can create your own, if you like. As the customer, you visit a designer's shop and either browse the range of designs (I found C'est La Viv's fabrics this way) or search for what you want (how I found Star Wars fabric to make a custom Good Will Bunting® design for two little boys' themed birthday party). How lovely that Jenny Wiksten's fabric designs are also on offer.

Like Dennis Quaid at Starbucks, Good Will Bunting® Mini is here! Each little flag is around 7cm long and each strand is around 2m long. At the moment there are four designs to choose from, two of which are one-of-a-kind: Rainbow, Ken Done (one only), Summer Christmas (one only) and, speaking of the election, USA (six only).

Right now it's all about the presidential election and, today, the Melbourne Cup, but before we know it Christmas will be here. I've added two new Christmas designs to the range to bring even more cheer to the house and garden in December: Home and Tradition are now available in the Christmas section of my Etsy shop.

Have you seen the 'Big Appetites' series from US-based photographer Christopher Boffoli? Christopher's people living in a world of giant food is currently showing in London (through October), and he has upcoming shows in Los Angeles (September), Toronto (October) and Seattle in November. 100 curators, 100 days

Saatchi Online is hosting "the largest online art exhibition created by curators from the most prestigious museums and galleries around the world", that is, '100 Curators 100 Days,' where curators from around the world present a set of interesting artists to check out each day. I really liked 'Landscapes and Small People #92' by Nikki Lindt from Brooklyn, NY, as selected by Cheryl Sim from Montreal, CA.

And Indoorspace by Cecile Van Hanja from Haarlem, NL, as selected by Britt Salvesen from Los Angeles.
